About Bakufu Slump
Bakufu Slump is a Japanese rock band formed in 1982, known especially for the driving anthem “Runner” and the ballad “Ōkina Tamanegi no Shita de.” Their music moves between punchy pop-rock, funk and comic songwriting, led by vocalist Sunplaza Nakano-kun.
Bakufu Slump first performed at Nippon Budokan in 1985, beginning a connection with the venue that became part of the group’s songwriting history. In 2024, the four-piece mounted the 40th Anniversary Tour “IKIGAI,” a three-city run that concluded at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in Tokyo.
