About Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso is an Italian progressive-rock band formed in Rome in 1969 by keyboardist brothers Vittorio and Gianni Nocenzi. The group became known for expansive compositions, prominent keyboards and Francesco Di Giacomo’s expressive lead vocals, particularly on the albums Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Darwin! and Io sono nato libero. “R.I.P. (Requiescant in pace),” “Non mi rompete” and “Moby Dick” are among its best-known songs.
A 1975 concert at Teatro Verdi in Salerno captured the classic lineup performing material from its early records; the recording was later released as Seguendo le tracce. The 1979 album Capolinea provided another live document of the group, featuring Francesco Di Giacomo as lead vocalist.
