About Banda El Recodo
Banda El Recodo is a Mexican banda ensemble founded in Sinaloa in 1938 by clarinetist Cruz Lizárraga. Its recordings helped bring banda sinaloense to a broad popular audience, and its best-known songs include “Y Llegaste Tú,” “Te Presumo,” “Me Gusta Todo de Ti” and “La Mejor de Todas.”
The group marked its 80th anniversary with a homecoming concert at Estadio Teodoro Mariscal in Mazatlán. Banda El Recodo has spent decades performing at fairs, theatres and arenas in Mexico and the United States, presenting a full ensemble of brass, clarinets, percussion and multiple vocalists.
Far beyond its home region, the band headlines Mexican-music concerts in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
