Beardyman in Hamburg

Beardyman is a British beatboxer and electronic musician, born Darren Foreman in London in 1982. He won the UK Beatbox Championship in 2006 and 2007, and developed his vocal improvisation into the albums I Done a Album and Distractions. Beardyman and DJ JFB ran the improvised Battlejam club night at Cargo in London. He later presented One Album Per Hour at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, creating a complete record during each performance from ideas suggested by the audience. His solo shows are built from live vocals, beatboxing, looping and real-time electronic processing. He assembles and reshapes those parts through his custom performance system, the Beardytron 5000.
