Bersuit Vergarabat in San Francisco de Mostazal

Bersuit Vergarabat is an Argentine rock band formed in Buenos Aires in 1988. Its music draws on murga, candombe, ska and Latin rhythms, while politically pointed and darkly comic lyrics run through albums including Libertinaje and Hijos del culo. “Sr. Cobranza,” “Se viene,” “La bolsa” and “Un pacto” are among its best-known songs. The 2002 live album De la cabeza con Bersuit Vergarabat documented the group at Estadio Obras Sanitarias. In 2007, the band performed a major concert at River Plate’s stadium, marking its move into Argentina’s largest concert settings. Bersuit Vergarabat performs as a full rock ensemble, and matching pajamas became a recognizable part of the group’s stage appearance. The band has made repeated festival appearances at Cosquín Rock in Argentina and Vive Latino in Mexico City.
