Breakdown of Sanity are a Swiss metalcore and deathcore band formed in Bern in 2007 by guitarist and songwriter Oliver Stingel. Their breakdown-heavy music incorporates elements of nu metal and post-grunge. The band independently released The Last Sunset, Mirrors, Perception and Coexistence between 2009 and 2016. In 2013, Breakdown of Sanity toured with August Burns Red and Architects and performed at With Full Force. They appeared at Wacken Open Air in 2015, then paused live activity after a farewell tour in 2017. The band returned to the stage at the Impericon Festivals in 2024.
