About Breathe Carolina

Breathe Carolina is an American electronic music project formed in Denver in 2007 by David Schmitt and Kyle Even. Its early records paired electropop and electronic rock with screamed vocals, while the album Hell Is What You Make It produced its best-known song, “Blackout.” The project later moved toward EDM and bass house.

Breathe Carolina performed on the Vans Warped Tour several times during its band-oriented years. As its sound shifted toward dance music, its live work centered on DJ sets, including appearances at Tomorrowland and Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.
