Buika in Bogotá

Buika is a Spanish singer born in Palma de Mallorca in 1972 to parents from Equatorial Guinea. She sings flamenco, jazz, soul and Latin repertoire, and is known for albums including Mi Niña Lola, Niña de Fuego and El Último Trago, her collection of songs associated with Chavela Vargas. “No habrá nadie en el mundo” is among her best-known recordings. Buika has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival, presenting her songs with a live instrumental ensemble centered on her voice. She has also played Royal Albert Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York.
