About Bulletboys
BulletBoys are an American hard-rock and glam-metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1986 by singer and guitarist Marq Torien, guitarist Mick Sweda, bassist Lonnie Vencent and drummer Jimmy D’Anda. Their 1988 self-titled debut introduced their best-known song, “Smooth Up in Ya,” and a cover of the O’Jays’ “For the Love of Money”; later albums include Freakshow and Za-Za.
In the late 1980s, BulletBoys toured as an opening act for Cinderella during the debut-album cycle. In later decades, the band appeared at M3 Rock Festival and played headline dates at the Whisky a Go Go.
