About Chicago
Chicago is an American rock band formed in its namesake city in 1967, originally under the name Chicago Transit Authority. Rock and pop songwriting, jazz-influenced arrangements and a prominent horn section shape songs including “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” “If You Leave Me Now” and “Hard to Say I’m Sorry.”
The band performed at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970, then played a run of concerts at Carnegie Hall in 1971 that became a live album. Beginning in 2004, multiple co-headlining tours paired Chicago with Earth, Wind & Fire.
Chicago staged a multi-show residency at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas. The band has also performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver.
