Chris Spedding is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter, born in 1944, whose work encompasses rock and roll, jazz rock, pub rock and rockabilly. His best-known solo song is “Motor Bikin’,” while his session credits include Jack Bruce’s Songs for a Tailor and Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds. He also produced the Sex Pistols’ first demos. In the late 1970s, Chris Spedding played guitar on tour and on record with Robert Gordon, including the album Rock Billy Boogie. He later joined Bryan Ferry’s band at Live Aid in 1985 and played on Roxy Music’s 2001 reunion tour.
