Christopher Cross is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in San Antonio in 1951, whose polished soft rock became widely known through “Sailing,” “Ride Like the Wind” and “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do).” His self-titled debut won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, while “Sailing” received both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

In 1992, he toured as a member of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. The concert album and film A Night in Paris documented his 2012 full-band performance at Le Trianon, and his later 40th Anniversary Tour presented the self-titled debut in full alongside other songs from his catalogue.
