CocoRosie in Mexico City

CocoRosie are an American experimental folk and pop duo formed in Paris in 2003 by sisters Bianca and Sierra Casady. Their music draws on layered vocals, electronics, harp, toy instruments and hip-hop rhythms. Their catalogue includes the albums La maison de mon rêve, Noah’s Ark and The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn, plus songs such as “Werewolf” and “Lemonade.” In 2007, CocoRosie performed at Coachella during the touring cycle for The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn. Their later live work included a 2012 concert at the Sydney Opera House and the tour behind the 2015 album Heartache City. The sisters built those performances around their contrasting voices, Sierra Casady’s instrumental parts and beatboxing from longtime collaborator Tez.
