Cornelius in Nagoya

Cornelius is the solo project of Japanese musician and producer Keigo Oyamada, who adopted the name after the dissolution of Flipper’s Guitar. His sample-rich experimental pop and electronic rock are represented by albums including Fantasma, Point and Sensuous, and by tracks such as “Star Fruits Surf Rider” and “Drop.” The Sensurround tour presented his music through a live band and synchronized films, a format documented on the Sensurround + B release. In 2018, Cornelius toured North America behind Mellow Waves, bringing that precisely coordinated audiovisual performance to theatre stages. His festival appearances have included Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival and California’s Coachella.
