Crack The Sky in Annapolis

Crack The Sky is an American progressive-rock band formed in Weirton, West Virginia, and led by singer-songwriter John Palumbo and guitarist Rick Witkowski. Its music pairs intricate arrangements with hard-rock riffs and sharp, sometimes satirical lyrics. The band is known for its self-titled debut, Animal Notes and Safety in Numbers, as well as songs including “Surf City,” “Nuclear Apathy” and “She's a Dancer.” The 1978 concert album Live Sky documented Crack The Sky at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia. In later decades, the band concentrated much of its live work in the Mid-Atlantic, playing recurring shows at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis and the Recher Theatre in Towson.
