Danilo Rea in Rovigo

Danilo Rea is an Italian jazz pianist, born in Vicenza in 1957 and raised in Rome. Known for improvising on Italian popular song and opera, he has worked in Trio di Roma and Doctor 3, while albums such as Lost in Europe and Lirico established his solo-piano repertoire. In the 1970s, Rea began performing with Trio di Roma alongside Enzo Pietropaoli and Roberto Gatto. His later appearances have included solo recitals at Umbria Jazz and concerts based on spontaneous reinterpretation, while the voice-and-piano project Due come noi che... paired him with Gino Paoli.
