About Decapitated
Decapitated are a Polish death metal band formed in Krosno in 1996. They became known for the tightly executed technical death metal of Winds of Creation and Nihility, the album that includes “Spheres of Madness.” Organic Hallucinosis, Carnival Is Forever and Cancer Culture chart the group’s later changes in lineup and sound.
Decapitated returned to the stage in 2010 after rebuilding the band following the death of drummer Witold “Vitek” Kiełtyka. The 2017 Double Homicide Tour paired them with Thy Art Is Murder across North America, and the Cancer Culture Over Europe tour followed in 2022.
Poland and the United Kingdom have both featured prominently in their live work. They performed at Mystic Festival in Gdańsk and Bloodstock Open Air in Derbyshire.
