Derrick Carter in Chicago

Derrick Carter is an American DJ and producer, born in Compton and raised in Chicago, who plays Chicago house, deep house and disco-rooted club music. He co-founded Classic Music Company with Luke Solomon, and his catalog includes the album Squaredancing in a Roundhouse and “Where U At?,” released under his DJ Bang alias. In 2012, Derrick Carter helped start Queen! at Smartbar and became a resident at the club’s Sunday-night house party. He has also played DJ sets for Glitterbox in Ibiza and London. He has performed at Movement in Detroit and the NYC Downlow at Glastonbury.
