Dover Quartet in Fayetteville

Dover Quartet is an American string quartet formed at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia in 2008. Named after Samuel Barber’s work Dover Beach, the ensemble plays the central chamber repertoire as well as modern and contemporary music. Its recordings include the complete Beethoven string quartets and Voices of Defiance, a program of works by Viktor Ullmann, Dmitri Shostakovich and Simon Laks. The quartet won the Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2013, a result followed by an extensive recital career. It has since performed at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center in the United States and at Wigmore Hall in London.
