Edwin McCain is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Greenville, South Carolina, in 1970. His pop-rock and acoustic songwriting is best known through “I’ll Be” from Misguided Roses and “I Could Not Ask for More” from Messenger; his major-label catalogue began with Honor Among Thieves. During the 1990s, Edwin McCain toured as an opening act for Hootie & the Blowfish before establishing a long-running schedule of solo acoustic concerts and performances with the Edwin McCain Band. In 2024, he joined Hootie & the Blowfish and Collective Soul for amphitheatre dates on the Summer Camp with Trucks Tour.
