Elder is an American band formed in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, in 2006. The group plays heavy psychedelic and progressive rock rooted in doom metal, and is known for long-form albums including Dead Roots Stirring, Lore, Reflections of a Floating World and Innate Passage. Roadburn Festival documented the band’s 2013 performance in Tilburg on Live at Roadburn 2013. More than a decade later, Elder opened for Tool on arena dates across North America and Europe in 2024. Elder perform as a full electric band led by guitarist and vocalist Nick DiSalvo. Sets draw on extended compositions such as “Compendium” and “Sanctuary,” including long instrumental passages. Elder headline clubs and concert halls in the United States and Germany, and their North American runs also include dates in Canada.
Blackwater Holylight is an American rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, in 2016. The group plays psychedelic doom and stoner rock shaped by heavy riffs, layered vocals and shoegaze textures. Its recorded work includes the albums Blackwater Holylight, Veils of Winter and Silence/Motion. A North American tour supporting Monolord took Blackwater Holylight through the club circuit. The band also carried its live set to Europe, including a performance at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg.
