About Erol Evgin
Erol Evgin is a Turkish pop singer and actor, born in Istanbul in 1947. He became known in the 1970s through songs created with composer Melih Kibar and lyricist Çiğdem Talu, including “İşte Öyle Bir Şey,” “Sevdan Olmasa,” “Bir de Bana Sor” and “Söyle Canım.”
During the 1980s, he took leading roles in the stage musicals Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyası and Şen Sazın Bülbülleri, both directed by Haldun Dormen. His later concert work has returned to the Talu-Kibar repertoire in orchestral programs, including performances at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre.
