Artists
Eskimo Joe are an Australian alternative-rock band formed in Fremantle in 1997 by Kavyen Temperley, Stuart MacLeod and Joel Quartermain. The album A Song Is a City brought them wider attention through “From the Sea,” while Black Fingernails, Red Wine produced the title track and “Sarah.” Their later work includes the album Inshalla and the single “Foreign Land.” In 2007, Eskimo Joe performed at the Australian Live Earth concert at Aussie Stadium. Two years later they returned to the same large benefit-concert format for Sound Relief at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Big Day Out featured them on its national festival circuit, and they also performed at Falls Festival.
Australian singer-songwriter Alex Lloyd was born in 1974 and plays melodic rock and pop. He is best known for “Amazing” from Watching Angels Mend; his catalogue also includes the debut album Black the Sun and the songs “Lucky Star” and “Green.” In 2005, he performed at the WaveAid benefit concert at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He revisited his debut in full on the Black the Sun 20th Anniversary Tour in 2019. Alex Lloyd later returned to that album-focused format for the Watching Angels Mend 20th Anniversary Tour.
