Fear Factory in Belfast

Fear Factory is an American industrial-metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1989. Their music pairs tightly synchronized guitar riffs and drums with electronic textures and a contrast between harsh and clean vocals. The albums Demanufacture and Obsolete established that sound through songs including “Replica,” “Shock” and “Edgecrusher,” while “Linchpin” became a key track from Digimortal. Fear Factory joined Iron Maiden’s The X Factour in 1995 and played the first Ozzfest the following year. In 2005, they toured on the inaugural Gigantour, whose lineup also included Megadeth, Dream Theater and Anthrax.

Crystal Lake are a Japanese metalcore band formed in Tokyo in 2002. Their music combines hardcore aggression, low-tuned guitar riffs and electronic elements; albums including The Sign, True North and Helix produced signature tracks such as “Apollo” and “Aeon.” In 2019, Crystal Lake performed at Resurrection Fest in Viveiro and Wacken Open Air. Later that year, the band joined the Impericon Never Say Die! Tour, bringing its full-band metalcore set to venues across Europe. Outside its Tokyo base, Crystal Lake also played club shows in London and Paris.
