Fontaines DC are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 2014, known for post-punk songs shaped by Grian Chatten’s direct vocal delivery. Their key records include the debut album Dogrel, A Hero’s Death, Skinty Fia and Romance, while “Boys in the Better Land,” “Jackie Down the Line” and “Starburster” are among their best-known songs. In 2019, the band played Glastonbury while touring Dogrel. They later opened for Arctic Monkeys across North America in 2023, and in 2024 they headlined Alexandra Palace during the touring cycle for Romance. They have performed well beyond Ireland, including appearances at Coachella in California and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
