About Frances Black
Frances Black is an Irish folk and Celtic singer, born in Dublin in 1960. She made her professional debut with the Black Family in 1986, later sang with Arcady and formed a duo with Kieran Goss. After appearing on the 1993 compilation A Woman’s Heart, she released solo albums including Talk to Me, The Sky Road, The Smile on Your Face and Don’t Get Me Wrong.
Frances Black toured Ireland with fellow A Woman’s Heart performers Maura O’Connell, Dolores Keane, Sharon Shannon, Sinéad Lohan and her sister Mary Black.
