Gary Owen in Salt Lake City

Gary Owen is an American stand-up comedian and actor born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He became widely known through BET’s ComicView, where he was the first white comedian to serve as host. His screen work includes Think Like a Man and Ride Along, while his stand-up releases include Gary Owen: True Story, I Agree with Myself and #DoinWhatIDo. Gary Owen began performing in San Diego comedy clubs after serving in the US Navy. Those club appearances led to televised sets on ComicView, followed by theatre performances recorded for his stand-up specials. He also appeared in Shaquille O’Neal’s All Star Comedy Jam.
