George Canyon is a Canadian country singer from Pictou County, Nova Scotia, known for a traditional-leaning style and songs including “My Name,” “Just Like You” and “I’ll Never Do Better Than You.” He placed second on the television competition Nashville Star in 2004, the same year he released the album One Good Friend. George Canyon has performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and his live work has also included concerts for Canadian military personnel in Afghanistan.
