Gianni Morandi in Ostuni

Gianni Morandi is an Italian pop singer, actor and television presenter, born in Monghidoro in 1944. He became a leading voice of 1960s Italian pop through songs including “In ginocchio da te,” “Non son degno di te” and “C’era un ragazzo che come me amava i Beatles e i Rolling Stones.” He represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Occhi di ragazza” and won the Sanremo Music Festival alongside Enrico Ruggeri and Umberto Tozzi with “Si può dare di più.” In 2015, Gianni Morandi and Claudio Baglioni opened their Capitani Coraggiosi concert project at the Foro Italico in Rome, then took it through Italian arenas. His later Stasera gioco in casa residency began at Teatro Duse in Bologna in 2019.
