About Grailknights
Grailknights are a German metal band formed in Hanover in 2002. Their music draws on power metal and melodic death metal, while their superhero mythology runs through albums including Alliance, Knightfall and Muscle Bound for Glory. Their best-known songs include “Laser Raptor 3D” and “Pumping Iron Power,” recorded with Sabaton singer Joakim Brodén.
In 2008, Grailknights toured Europe in support of Sabaton. The musicians perform in superhero costumes, address their audience as the Battlechoir and build their concerts around the recurring struggle against the character Dr. Skull. They brought that full-band format to Wacken Open Air in 2022.
