About Hadag Nahash
Hadag Nahash are an Israeli hip-hop and funk band formed in Jerusalem in 1996. Their Hebrew-language songs pair rap with a full-band groove and often address politics and everyday life. They are known for albums including Homer Mekomi and Be'ezrat HaJam, as well as “The Sticker Song,” built from bumper-sticker slogans collected by writer David Grossman, and “Hine Ani Ba.”
The concert album Hadag Nahash Live documented the group’s stage format, led by rap vocals and a band featuring rhythm, keyboards and brass. A later NPR Tiny Desk Concert compressed that setup into a three-song performance of “Legal Eyes,” “Welcome to Israel” and “The Sticker Song.”
