Haken are a British progressive metal band formed in London in 2007. Their music combines long-form compositions, intricate rhythms and melodic vocals; the albums The Mountain, Affinity and Fauna, together with the song “Cockroach King,” are central to their catalogue. Haken marked their tenth anniversary in 2017 with a tour that included Visions performed in full, and their concert at the Melkweg in Amsterdam was filmed for the live release L-1VE. They joined Symphony X on a North American run in 2022, then returned the following year for the Fauna Expedition tour supported by Arch Echo.
Black Orchid Empire are a British alternative metal trio formed in London in 2011. They play alternative and progressive metal shaped by heavy guitar riffs, shifting rhythms and melodic vocals. Their catalogue includes the albums Archetype, Yugen, Semaphore and Tempus Veritas. Black Orchid Empire have performed at Download Festival and UK Tech-Fest. Beyond those festival appearances, the trio have toured UK clubs and played support dates for Skindred.
