About Helstar
Helstar is an American heavy metal band formed in Houston in 1982. Vocalist James Rivera and guitarist Larry Barragan are central to its fast, technical sound, and the band is known for the albums Burning Star, Remnants of War, A Distant Thunder and Nosferatu.
In 2012, Helstar marked its 30th anniversary with a concert at Warehouse Live. The performance was issued as the live album and video 30 Years of Hel, documenting a full-band set drawn from several periods of the group’s catalog.
Helstar has performed at Keep It True in Lauda-Königshofen and at Headbangers Open Air in Brande-Hörnerkirchen.
