Hikashu Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

Hikashu is a Japanese experimental rock band formed in 1977 and led by vocalist Makigami Koichi. Emerging from Tokyo’s new-wave scene, the group became known for the songs “20 Seiki no Owari ni” and “Puyo Puyo,” its self-titled debut album, and an approach that joins concise avant-pop writing to free improvisation.

The concert album Live in Europe documents Hikashu performing outside Japan during the 1980s. Its full-band sets combine composed material with collective improvisation and Makigami Koichi’s extended vocal techniques, and the group has also performed in New York.
