About Hot Potato Band
Hot Potato Band is an Australian brass ensemble formed in Sydney in 2009. The group plays funk, pop and brass-band music through original material including “This Is How It Should Be,” using horns, percussion and vocals.
Hot Potato Band developed its live format through street performance, playing acoustically and moving among listeners instead of remaining in a fixed stage setup. The ensemble later carried that roaming format into theatres and festivals in Australia and New Zealand, including Woodford Folk Festival and WOMADelaide.
