About Imonolith
Imonolith are a Canadian metal band formed in Vancouver in 2018 by musicians including drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen and guitarist Brian Waddell, both formerly of the Devin Townsend Project, and Threat Signal vocalist Jon Howard. Their groove-heavy alternative metal is represented by the debut album State of Being and songs including “Hollow,” “Dig” and “Instinct.”
When touring around State of Being was halted in 2020, Imonolith created The Quarantine Sessions, a sequence of remotely recorded performances of original material and cover songs. The videos documented the band’s five-piece performance format around Howard’s vocals and Van Poederooyen’s drumming.
