Jay Buchanan in Gothenburg

Jay Buchanan is an American singer-songwriter and the lead vocalist of the Long Beach rock band Rival Sons. His blues-rooted rock and Americana writing is heard on albums including Pressure & Time, Great Western Valkyrie and Feral Roots, as well as songs such as “Keep On Swinging” and “Do Your Worst.” In 2013, Rival Sons opened for The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park in London. The band later supported Black Sabbath across The End Tour in 2016 and 2017, taking Buchanan to arenas across Europe and North America, and he fronted the group at Glastonbury Festival in 2023. Concerts under his own name have featured Jay Buchanan singing with acoustic guitar and drawing on both solo material and the Rival Sons catalogue.
