About Jeremy Pelt
Jeremy Pelt is an American jazz trumpeter and bandleader, born in 1976, whose music is rooted in hard bop and post-bop. His catalog includes the albums Men of Honor, Make Noise! and Griot: This Is Important!, and he has also recorded with the Mingus Big Band.
Shock Value: Live at Smoke documented his group at Smoke Jazz Club in New York in 2007. Noir en Rouge: Live in Paris later captured his quintet in another club performance, featuring pianist Victor Gould, bassist Vicente Archer, drummer Jonathan Barber and percussionist Jacquelene Acevedo.
