Jochen Malmsheimer in Quakenbrück

Jochen Malmsheimer is a German cabaret performer and author, born in Essen in 1961. He is known for densely constructed comic monologues, precise wordplay and a resonant speaking voice, as well as appearances on the television satire Neues aus der Anstalt. In 1992, Jochen Malmsheimer and Frank Goosen formed the literary-cabaret duo Tresenlesen and performed together until 2000. He subsequently toured solo theatre programmes including Dogensuppe Herzogin: ein Austopf mit Einlage. The pair later reunited for new theatre performances, putting Jochen Malmsheimer back onstage with Frank Goosen.
