John Bishop is an English stand-up comedian, actor and presenter, born in Liverpool in 1966. He became known through autobiographical stand-up and television programmes including John Bishop’s Britain and The John Bishop Show, and later played Dan Lewis in Doctor Who. The Sunshine Tour reached Echo Arena Liverpool in 2011, where he recorded the performance released as a concert film. Rollercoaster followed in 2012 and took him into arenas, while Supersonic and Winging It extended that run through major theatres and arenas. Britain and Ireland account for much of his live work. His stand-up tours have also reached Australia and New Zealand.
