John Hiatt is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Indianapolis in 1952, whose music draws on roots rock, country and blues. His best-known work includes the albums Bring the Family and Slow Turning, and the songs “Have a Little Faith in Me,” “Thing Called Love” and “Riding with the King.” In 1992, John Hiatt toured with Little Village, the band he formed with Ry Cooder, Nick Lowe and Jim Keltner after the four musicians recorded an album together. He later undertook repeated acoustic duo tours with Lyle Lovett, taking turns performing songs from their respective catalogs.
