Joshua Idehen in Oslo

Joshua Idehen is a British-Nigerian poet and musician whose spoken-word delivery sits over soul, jazz and electronic pop. He is the vocalist for Benin City and contributed to Sons of Kemet’s album Your Queen Is a Reptile and The Comet Is Coming’s Trust in the Lifeforce of the Deep Mystery. His solo songs include “I Got You Every Step of the Way” and “Mum Does the Washing.” At NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, he performed guest vocals with Sons of Kemet. A later appearance in the same series placed him alongside The Comet Is Coming for “Blood of the Past.”
