Karl Denson's Tiny Universe in Columbus

Karl Denson's Tiny Universe is an American funk and jazz band formed in San Diego in 1998 and led by saxophonist and flautist Karl Denson. Its music draws on soul, rock and extended jazz improvisation, and the group is known for albums including The Bridge, Brother's Keeper and New Ammo. Karl Denson's Tiny Universe has performed at Bonnaroo and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The band has also returned to Jam Cruise for multiple sailings, presenting full-band sets centered on Denson's saxophone and flute. Its club dates have included the Belly Up in Solana Beach and Brooklyn Bowl in New York.
