Laila Biali in Saskatoon

Laila Biali is a Canadian jazz pianist, singer and songwriter from Vancouver. Her self-titled album won the Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year, while House of Many Rooms and Out of Dust established her repertoire of original songs and jazz arrangements. Her work with Sting included the 2009 concert project A Winter’s Night... Live from Durham Cathedral, where she performed as a vocalist. She has also toured under her own name, singing at the piano with a jazz ensemble, and her concert appearances have included Carnegie Hall.
