About Lenine
Lenine is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Recife in 1959. He writes MPB shaped by rock and the rhythms of northeastern Brazil, and is known for songs including “Paciência,” “Jack Soul Brasileiro” and “Leão do Norte,” as well as the albums O Dia em que Faremos Contato, Na Pressão and Falange Canibal.
The concert album Lenine In Cité documented his performance at Cité de la Musique in Paris. For the Chão tour, he performed with JR Tostoi and Bruno Giorgi, using sampled everyday noises within the arrangements. He followed it with a full-band production built around Carbono.
