About Luca Barbarossa
Luca Barbarossa is an Italian pop and rock singer-songwriter, born in Rome in 1961. He placed fourth at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1981 with “Roma spogliata,” represented Italy at the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest with “Vivo (Ti scrivo),” and won Sanremo in 1992 with “Portami a ballare,” a song from the album Cuore d’acciaio.
He began performing as a street musician in Piazza Navona and later toured as Riccardo Cocciante’s support act. His stage work also included the theatrical tour Attenti a quei due alongside actor Neri Marcorè.
