Manowar are an American heavy metal band formed in Auburn, New York, in 1980 by bassist Joey DeMaio and guitarist Ross Friedman. Albums including Battle Hymns, Hail to England and Kings of Metal established their epic, martial style, while “Hail and Kill” and “Warriors of the World United” became signature songs. In 2005, Manowar headlined Earthshaker Fest in Geiselwind, where former members joined the group during a set that also featured an orchestra and choir. The Gods and Kings World Tour followed in 2016, and The Final Battle World Tour took the band through arenas and theatres across Europe. Manowar created the Magic Circle Festival and have also performed at Italy’s Gods of Metal.
