Mark Steel in Aylesbury

Mark Steel is an English stand-up comedian, writer and broadcaster, born in 1960 and known for politically engaged comedy rooted in history, current affairs and personal observation. His best-known broadcast work includes The Mark Steel Lectures and the BBC Radio 4 series Mark Steel’s in Town, in which he builds each episode around a different British community. Mark Steel began performing on London’s alternative-comedy circuit in 1982 and later appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He went on to tour British theatres with solo shows including Who Do I Think I Am? and Every Little Thing’s Gonna Be Alright.
