MC Lars in Albany

MC Lars is an American rapper and producer, born in Berkeley, California, in 1982. He makes nerdcore and self-described “post-punk laptop rap,” using literary references, punk samples and comedy in songs such as “Download This Song” and “Hot Topic Is Not Punk Rock,” as well as the albums The Graduate and This Gigantic Robot Kills. MC Lars has toured with Bowling for Soup and performed on the Vans Warped Tour, taking his laptop-driven hip-hop into punk clubs and festival settings. He has also toured with fellow nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot.
