About Millie Manders and the Shutup
Millie Manders and the Shutup are an English punk band led by vocalist and saxophonist Millie Manders. Their music draws on punk rock and ska, while songs including “Your Story” and “Bitter” address abuse, inequality and social pressure. The albums Telling Truths, Breaking Ties and Wake Up, Shut Up, Work established the band’s direct, brass-driven sound.
The band toured the UK as support for Less Than Jake and have also undertaken their own club tours. Their festival appearances include Rebellion Festival in Blackpool and Slam Dunk Festival, placing the group on bills rooted in British punk, ska and hardcore.
